This is the day!!!
Finally, my fellow SEA teachers, and I visited SMA Negeri 2 Madiun, the Senior High School where we will be having our practice teaching. On January 25, 2019, at 8:30 in the morning, we were officially welcomed by the administration of the said school. We met Drs. Pramujo Budiarto, the school principal, Sir Mashudi, Ma’am Yunita, Ma’am Nanin, Sir Mustain, and Ma’am Sri Wahyuni who is our (Lynton and I) teacher coordinator.
After, we had our discussion with our teacher instructors. Lynton and I discussed with Ibu Yuni about the topics that we will be going to teach. She already told us that they are almost done with Chapter 6 of the book, Pathway to English, thus by the time we will enter the room, we will just be assisting Ibu Yuni as she guide the students for their final performances and activities. Gratefully, Ibu Yuni helps us understand about the lessons to be given to the students that we will meet.
Ibu Yuni and Ibu Yunita then escorted us in the school canteen where we had our brunch at around 10:00 AM. Thanks to our teacher instructors and the school, we had a nice fine meal. After a while, we went to the International Office for a photo opportunity for our International Student Identification Card that we will use as we stay here in Madiun.
At around 7:00 in the evening, my fellow SEA teachers and our buddies Julia and Bayu had our dinner together at Rocket Chicken.
We just took rest for several minutes then at 9:00 PM, we went to Gor Cendekia for the sports time!!! We played badminton all night until our bodies ached. Haha.
It has been a long time since I had an exercise through sports. I had so much fun as I was able to play with such cool and gregarious people – Julia, Bintang, Bayu, Lynton, Eldimar, Anders, Ruth and Dream.
