Sharing knowledge to X-7 and English Club…

Today, January 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM, we finally introduced ourselves to class X-7 using a bit of Indonesian language and the English language. As we talked to them, we have found out that there were similar words with their language like counting numbers. On the other hand, surprisingly, some of the students spoke in Filipino, some of the Filipino words and phrases they know are 'Magandang Umaga' and 'Mabuhay.'

And just like what we did in the other class yesterday, we assisted the students in making their script and suggested things to do so that they could have a better performance.

The task was also on the proper usage of the words "too" and "enough" in their sentences during their performance. But as the time was not enough to have their performance, Ibu Yuni told the stduents then to continue the task in their next meetings.

Before we went to our next schedule which is the seminar with the English Club, we first had our lunch at around 2:00 PM and stayed at the lounge provided for us to organize the scores given and the evaluation sheets used.

After which, we proceed to the Aula, an indoor hall for school activities wherein we started the seminar at 3:30 in the afternoon. I have prepared a lecture which helps them in writing news in the future. Since they are part of the English Club, I believed that such skill is one thing that they must also gain.

Writing is part of an English Club, they may not be writing news using the English language, but they can use the information that I have shared to them on news to write – the features, the format, and its importance, when writing even when they use the Indonesian language.

And as a part of the lecture, I have given them a news writing activity which they took it home to be able to finish it.

Then at 5:00 PM, we went home with a box of love (a box full of foods that could strengthen us again) that the organization has given to us. Two students who are members of the English Club volunteered to take us home in our dorm.

Thanks to Aldi and Ilham of XI-3, we were able to arrive in our homes safe and sound!
