Enlightening SMADA for the final time...

Updated: Mar 9, 2019

Today is the day! On February 13, John Lynton and I had our final evaluation already. Our schedule was to have 1 hour each for teaching. I then have started my lesson at 11:05 in the morning, wherein I have taught the language features of an event advertisement to the class X-7. As the topic is similar with the ones I have lectured to X-10 back then, the activities that were given for today’s teaching and learning process is the same. Thus, may I only share with you the highlights of the lesson.

A picture was taken as I was letting the students recall their previous topic because it is related to the topic for this day.

As the next activity required the stduents to write something about the language feature that is assigned to them, I have explained how are the cartolinas given to them be utilized.

After several minutes, each group in the class then shared what they have made and what is the language feature about that is assigned to them.

As the students have understood the seven (7) language features, they were ready to display what they have learned. They were asked to read again the advertisement presented to them, and with their groupmates they will answer the worksheets given to them. fterwards, the groups exchanged their worksheets to check each other’s’ works through another oral recitation.

Then, Teacher Lynton continued the lesson for another hour. We ended our class as we took pictures with Ibu Sri Lestari who evaluated us for today, Ibu Wahyuni, and of course the X-7.

In the evening, Lynton, Okta, and I were invited by the class X-10 to hang-out at Omah and Krim Mundu with them as we were asked to share stories, things about our country, impressions and our thoughts to them.

We sang together and they even let us try the Zuppa Soup they have cooked. And indeed, it is undoubtedly very delicious. It is probably the most delicious soup I have tasted so far!

It truly is a memorable night!
