Indonesian music just woke us up on January 26, 2019. At 8:00 in the morning we, SEA teachers, had our Zumba Class along with the members of International Office, our buddies and Ibu Lusi.
"Keeping a healthy body and a healthy mind."
After the intensive workout, we dived into the culture of Indonesia. First is on the Indonesian foods, we ate ayam sate, and lontong. Ayam Sate is a dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce. While lontong is a dish made of compressed rice cake in the form of a cylinder wrapped inside a banana leaf.

As someone who loves trying new things, I cannot describe how happy I am because of this, the photo beside even shows how eager I am when I was receiving the ayam sate that was first prepared by Ibu Lusi.

Around 10:00 AM, Ibu Sesa then introduced the famous Reog, a traditional Indonesian dance, to us. According to her, it is about the revolt of Ki Ageng Kutu, a royal servant at the time of Bhre Kertabhumi, the last King of Majapahit Kingdom in the 15th century.
They even let our fellow SEA teachers wear the costumes being worn during Reog performances.

Moreover, they have given us opportunity to use and try the instruments and props such as the masks that they use for the said dance.

Time flew so fast on January 27 but at 6:00 PM, we, the buddies and I, ended the day through playing UNO cards and eating nasi goreng. I had so much fun as the game allowed us to get to know deeper about each other, especially when someone gets the truth or dare card. This simple game let us even enjoyed more my favorite, nasi goreng.
